Danish Ambassador to Bangladesh Hanne Fugl Eskjæ has visited a number of Danish government-supported projects in Panchagarh and discussed various issues with stakeholders there, reports UNB.
She visited the Farmer Field School (FFS), supported by the Integrated Farm Management Component, on Wednesday in Bolorampur, Atwari.
The envoy saw how integrated agricultural extension is promoted through the FFS and learned how farmers assess their needs, how FFS sessions are planned and how farmers make use of their resources, said a Danish Embassy press release yesterday.
Hanne also visited Kazi and Kazi Tea Estate Ltd which is an internationally-certified organic tea grower located in Tetulia.
She was given a tour of the Estate where only organic tea is produced.
The Ambassador also visited the tea processing plant and learned about the different stages of the processing and how different kinds of tea are produced from the same plant.
Hanne also met the DC of Panchagarh at his office where other members of the district administration were also present.
