Indian Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan arrives in the capital today on a three-day visit to Bangladesh to have bilateral meetings with his counterpart and other interlocutors.
Pradhan’s visit is taking place at the invitation of his counterpart State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid.
He will be accompanied by a high level delegation consisting of heads of Indian public sector units in the energy sector, an Indian high commission press release said yesterday.
“Bilateral cooperation in the energy sector between India and Bangladesh has been steadily increasing in the last few years. Several proposals for cooperation both in the private and public sector including petroleum, LPG and LNG sectors are under consideration of both sides,” it said.
