Body recovered in Faridpur

Police recovered the bullet hit body of a youth along with a pistol from Natun Shaheber Char village of Akoter Char union under Sadarpur upazila of this district in the small hours of yesterday, reports BSS.
The body was identified as of Tito Chowdhury,38, son of one Sattar Chowdhury of Shahaber Char who was alleged to be a drug addict and was involved with anti-social activities.
Sadarpur thana police, being informed, rushed to the spot and found it on the premises of the house of one Sufia Begum, 65, who is living with a minor granddaughter Nipa Akhtar,14.
Quoting the old lady police said that at the deep night they heard the sound of gunshot and later on found a body on the premises of their house.
However, police detained both the grandmother and granddaughter for interrogation. The cause of the death is yet to be ascertained as police said that it might be suicide or homicide.
The body has been sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital for post mortem.
