KHULNA: A patrol Coast Guard (CG) team of Rupsha Station here yesterday recovered huge illegal Indian clothes worth about Tk. 45 lakh from toll plaza area of Khanjahan Ali Bridge under Rupsha Police Station in the district, reports BSS.

Khan said, on information Rupsha CG team went to toll plaza area at around 6.30am yesterday and recovered 946 three-pieces, 7 pieces of serwani, 188 pieces of panjabi and 4070 meters long cloth (Than kapor) in abundant condition. The recovered clothes will be handed over to Khulna Customs, Khan said.
The operation is part of patrol duty of Bangladesh Coast Guard, he said adding that patrolling has been strengthened in Khulna, Satkhira and Bagerhat area as smuggling of Indian goods increased recently.
