Ghana has expressed its willingness to procure jute sacks from Bangladesh for their agricultural products packaging, reports UNB.
Ghana gave an official offer to buy jute sacks from Bangladesh when Ghana’s High Commissioner to India with concurrent accreditation to Bangladesh Samuel Panyin Yalley met Textile and Jute Minister M Emajuddin Pramanik at his office yesterday.
During the meeting, Panyin Yalley mentioned that Bangladesh is a friendly country of Ghana and it wants to import jute sacks from Bangladesh to use those for agricultural products packaging.
Textile and Jute Minister Emaz Uddin Pramanik said Bangladesh is also interested to expand trade with Ghana.
“Bangladesh produces the world’s best jute and jute products, which it has been exporting to many countries….Bangladeshi jutes and jute products have reputation around the globe,” he added.
State Minister for Textile and Jute Mirza Azam was present on the occasion.
