4 held, looted gold jewellery seized

Police arrested a jewellery shop owner and recovered huge amount of looted gold ornaments from his shop yesterday.
The owner was identified as Rabiul Azad Bipul. Abdul Kader Zilani, officer-in-charge of Kotwali police station, informed The Independent that a number of robberies have been committed in the city and its adjoining areas recently. He said on secret information police detained three alleged robbers---Rezwan, Rafiq and Al-Amin from Gazipur district.
In primary interrogation, the  arrestees admitted their involvement in inter-district robbery. They said that another associate Bipul bought the looted jewellery in cheap rate.
According to their information, police arrested Bipul and recovered the looted gold ornaments from his shop.
