2 brick kilns fined in Manikganj

A mobile court fined two brick kilns Tk 1.5 lakh in Singair upazila of the district yesterday for violating environmental law. The mobile court was led by Executive Magistrate Ishrat Jahan of Manikganj district administration. The mobile court realised fine worth Tk1 lakh from M/S Sumaya Bricks, owned by Suruj Ali and Tk 50,000 from M/S Motin Bricks, owned by Abdul Motin Biswas for running operation without obtaining any licence from Department of Environment, said Muhammad Abdullah Al Mamun, senior chemist of Manikganj DoE.
