BCB media committee chairman Jalal Younus said that they will take decision to send Taskin Ahmed and Arafat Sunny for the second-time test after getting the green signal of their support-staffs.
Fast-bowler Taskin Ahmed and left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny were suspended by ICC for their illegal bowling action from the international cricket competition during the recently concluded ICC World T20 2016.
“Support staffs are working with Taskin, Sunny and Sanjib Saha. I think Taskin’s problem is bit. His elbow extends a bit more than the tolerable 15 degree. He works on it. I think it will be right within a few days,” said Jalal Younus yesterday.
“But Arafat Sunny’s problem may be a bit more. We’ve to work more with his problem. Our supporting staffs are working with them. We could not want to send them at the moment. When our supporting staffs will tell us that they are ready to go for the second test then we will allow them to go for the test,” Younus told media at his BCB office.
He said that they are planning to use cameras in the upcoming Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPL) to detect the illegal bowling action.
When asked about West Indies’ visit in Bangladesh, Jalal said, “The series was scheduled to hold in November. But the next BPL is being staged in November. And so there is no possibility to take place this series in November. We could not even see any chance in April-May. So the series is not held at this moment.”
