CHITTAGONG: Authorities closed the Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) for an indefinite period on Tuesday following a clash between two groups of students over playing cricket on its campus in the city’s Khulshi area, reports UNB.
The male students have been asked to vacate their dormitories by 3:30 pm while the female ones by 10 am on Wednesday.
CVASU Deputy Director (PR) Khalilur Rahman, said 5-6 people were injured in the clash between the students of Veterinary Faculty and Fisheries Faculty of the university over playing cricket on the campus at noon.
One of the injured was taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
After the fight, the CVASU authorities declared the university sine die.
