NAOGAON: About 28,000 curved-leg children were provided treatment free of cost during last five years (2011-16) by the Glencoe Foundation through 48 hospitals across the country, reports BSS. The foundation disclosed the treatment figure at a seminar at Naogaon Sadar Hospital auditorium on Sunday. The curved-leg children get normal legs in Poinsett Method treatment and they are enjoying their normal mobility privileges at present, said Shariful Islam Khan, clinical services manager of the foundation. Superintendent of Naogaon Sadar Hospital Dr Anjuman Ara presided over the function. It was addressed, among others, by civil surgeon of the hospital Dr AKM Mojahar Hossain, senior consultant of orthopedic division Dr Abu Hena Selim and Poinsett practitioner of the foundation Dr Ahasan Habib.
