Bangladesh national blind team became joint champions in the Tri-Banga International Blind Cricket Tournament after their final match with South Banga was abandoned due to rain at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.
Visual Impaired Cricket Association of Bengal (VICAB) organised the tournament. West Bengal state minister for youth welfare affairs distributed prizes as chief guest. Former Indian cricket captain Saurav Ganguly, who came to witness the final match, inspired the players and gave them a pep talk.
Earlier, Bangladesh team defeated North Banga Blind Cricket team by 23 runs in their first match. The latter finished the tournament without any victory.
