With the aim of flourishing the country’s culture to the root level, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) has organised a school-level cultural competition featuring song, dance, recitation and acting. About one thousand students from government and private schools of Dhaka city participated in the competition held on Friday and Saturday. Noted artistes Laila Hasan, Nadira Begum, Fatema Tuz Zohora, Yakub Ali Khan, Golam Sawrar, Bhaskar Bandyopadhyay, Sharmila Bandyopadhyay, Munmun Ahmed and others attended the competition as judges. After the competition, an award giving ceremony was held yesterday, where the winners of the competition received certificate, crest, CD and book based on the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the judges.
