Abduction bid foiled, 2 held

Laxmipur: Local people caught two alleged kidnappers while they were trying to abduct a housewife from a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Chowdhury Bazar in Kamalnagar upazila on Saturday night, reports UNB. Officer-in-charge of Kamalnagar police station Kabir Ahmad said local people caught Rubel Hossain, son of Hanif Miah of Panditnagar village and Jamal Uddin, son of Abdul Majid of Charmartin village of the upazila, as they tried to abduct a housewife at about 10:30 pm. The mob handed over the duo to the police after beating them up. With injuries, they were admitted to Kamalnagar Upazila Health Complex under police custody.
