The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) yestreday approved a chargesheet against a retired engineer of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) on graft charges, reports UNB. The Commission in its regular meeting approved the charge-sheet against retired deputy assistant engineer AKM Anwar Ullah, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya told the news agency. On June 26, 2004, the Commission filed a case against him with Sabujbagh Police Station in the capital for not submitting his wealth statement to the ACC as per its requirement. During the long pending investigation, the national anti-graft body found that Anwar Ullah accumulated wealth illegally. The charge-sheet will soon be submitted before court against him under sector of 26 (2) of the Anti Corruption Commission Act 2004.
