MYMENSINGH: The government has disbursed over Taka 29 crore as loan among members of the Pally Daridra Bemochan Foundation (PDBF), one of the leading microfinance institutions of the government, for lifting thousands of people out of poverty in Mymensingh district during the current fiscal year, reports BSS. The loan was disbursed among more than 37,000 members of the PDBF across 13 upazilas of the district for agriculture, fish cultivation, cow rearing, small trades and other incoming generating activities with a view to enhancing economic capacity of the disadvantaged rural people, PDBF sources said. Besides, the PDBF also disbursed Taka 18 crore loan among 1,975 small entrepreneurs to flourish their small business as well as create entrepreneurship in all the 13 upazilas of the district during the year.
