Man killed by younger brother

A man was killed by his younger brother in Haluaghat upazila of Mymensingh district on Friday. The victim was identified as Monir Hossain, 32, of Haluaghat Bazar. Md Abdul Haque, officer-in-charge of Haluaghat police station, said Monir Hossain and his brother Shibirul Islam, 27, locked in an altercation after the two drank liquor at around 3.00 pm on Friday. At one stage of altercation, Shibirul kept punching Monir at different parts of his body and knocked him down on the ground, injuring him critically. Hearing scream, local people rushed to the spot and took Monir to Haluaghat Upazila Health Complex, where the duty doctor declared him dead.
