After three long years, popular model-actress Monalisa, who captivated the viewers with her enchanting presence and performances, has returned to Dhaka from New York. The news of her return certainly generated heavy buzz in the country’s entertainment industry, and also opened the doors for curiosity as far as her comeback to acting is concerned. Will she return to acting? If so, then when?
Well, the anticipation is now over as Monalisa announced her return to acting. The last director whom she worked with was Sagar Jahan, and Monalisa will be making her acting return through the same director. Monalisa will be acting in an Eid special tele-drama, written and directed by Sagar Jahan, and will be acting opposite Mosharraf Karim. DhakaLive has news that after Pahela Baishakh, on April 16, Monalisa will once again stand in front of a camera.
An enthusiastic Monalisa shared her excitement, “I am experiencing an amazing feeling about the fact that I will be returning to acting. After living abroad for so long, just as how I missed Bangladesh, I equally missed my modelling and acting career as well. I have returned to my homeland, returned to my beloved soil of my country, came back to my mother, all this is such a feeling that I cannot describe through just words. I am also excited over the fact that the same colleagues I worked with over the years, I will get to see them again. I would like to ask everyone to keep me in their well wishes and prayers that as long as I am in the country, I can pass on with happy times and have a pleasant experience with everyone.” Monalisa also informed that she will only model for good quality products, and as far as acting in tele-dramas, she will be very selective and will only choose good projects. She has no intention to work continuously and she will remain in the country until the coming Eid. Monalisa returned to the country last Saturday.
