Premier cricket likely to be played under flood light

Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolitan (CCDM) chairman Gazi Golam Murtaza said that they in principle decided to introduce day-night affair at Super League stage of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL).
“Local crowds showed their enormous interest to national team’s games but they did not demonstrate it in domestic competition. And so, we’ve decided to introduce day-night match in this league. If we could convince and approve it by the clubs in Saturday’s meeting then the most of the Super League stage matches at Fatullah and Mirpur will be day-night affairs,” said Gazi Golam Murtaza yesterday.
“Along with that, we’re discussing to live telecast some of the matches of the league so that we could make interest amongst the spectators and bring them more in the stadium,” Murtaza told media at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.  
The chairman said that they will finalise all of their decisions in the meeting. After discussing with the teams, they will give their final nod for the Players by Choice, which will be held at Le Meridien Hotel on April 10.
