Sanjida Islam Moyna, Panna Ghosh and Khadija Tul Kubra amongst the national pool players are yet to get any team in the day-long players’ transfer of the Dhaka Premier Division Women’s Cricket League for the 2016 season yesterday.
Traditional powerhouse Abahani Limited took captain Jahanara Alam, Sharmin Akhter Supta and Shamima Sultana, while its arch rival Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited retained  Salma Khatun and Farzana Haque. The traditional black and white, however, hooked a big fish when they bought Lata Mondal from the national pool,.
National vice-captain Ayesha Rahman Suktara, Rumana Ahmed and Shaila Sharmin were taken by Rupali Bank Cricket Club, who stunned all to be runner-up in their first campaign in 2015.
Rupali Bank coach Sathira Zakia Jessy said that this time they want to triumph the crown of the league.
“We’ve formed the team in a bid to win the trophy of the Premier Division. We’ve lost in final by playing good cricket last year. But this time we want to win the title,” said Sathira Zakia at National Cricket Academy after the players’ transfer.
      Khelaghor and Gulshan Youth Club managed to share the other national pool players including Fahima Khatun, Ritu Moni, Nigar Sultana and Nahida Akhter.
Bangladsh Krira Shikkha Prothisthan (BKSP), Jahurul Islam City Cricket Club and Indira Road Krira Chakra did not take any players from the national pool.
It is further learnt that a number of title aspirants are also looking forward to bring players from India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Last year two Pakistan national players played for Dhaka Mohammedan.
