Police recovered the body of a girl at Bokshimul in Tarakanda upazila, near Mymensingh-Haluaghat road, yesterday. The victim aged about 15 could not be identified immediately. Local people found the body lying beside the road around 9.30am and informed the police. Police sent the body to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy. Mazharul Haque, officer-in-charge of Tarakanda Police Station, said a scarf was wrapped around the neck of the body. Criminals might have strangled the girl and left the body there, said the OC.
