Information Minister and chief of a faction of JSD, Hasanul Haq Inu, yesterday underscored the need for establishing rule of law in the country in a bid to instill the spirit of Liberation War and democracy, and a keenness for development in the people.
“We will have to build a peaceful Bangladesh, where militancy and terrorism will have no place. Then the people of the country can enjoy the taste of democracy and the spirit of Independence,” he said while addressing a pre-procession rally at JSD headquarters in the city.
Calling upon the people of the country to be united and build a prosperous Bangladesh, the Information Minister said that if people want to take the country towards the path of development and peace, they will have to boycott those who support militants and terrorists in the country.
He branded BNP as a platform of terrorists and its chief, Khaleda Zia, as the protector of militancy and terrorism in the country. He also asked for the establishment of socialism to remove inequalities from the society, so that the spirit of Liberation War can be implemented in toto.
