192 Bangladeshi students to get Chinese govt scholarships

The Chinese government has increased the number of full scholarships for Bangladeshi students to 192 for the academic year of 2016-17, reports UNB. China has been providing 162 full government scholarships to Bangladeshi students every year ever since 2013. With the growing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and China, more and more Bangladeshi students are going to study in China as China has become a favorable attractive destination for Bangladeshi students, said a Chinese Embassy statement yesterday. The Chinese government also offers many opportunities for short-term or long-term training every year. In 2015, nearly 1000 Bangladeshis went to China to study there under the sponsorship of the Chinese government. On May 25, 2015, Chinese Vice Premier Liu Yangdong pledged that the Chinese government would provide 100 more full scholarships for bachelor, master and doctoral courses in the following three years, among which 30 scholarships will be for the academic year of 2016-2017.
