Actor Masud Ali Khan still recovering from illness

Has been away from acting for one and a half years

For audience-admired actor Masud Ali Khan, life took a different turn on October 24, 2014. He returned home from shooting and while he was in the bathroom, he suddenly collapsed and severely injured his waist. His convalescence is still continuing and even though he has been recovering at home, he has not recovered fully. It has been one and a half years since then and he has been away from the acting scene. He is unsure if he will ever be able to return to acting. The actor will step into 87 this December. He spends time at home with wife Tahmina Khan and spends time with television and books. In addition, there is also reminiscence about the glory days of acting.
He said, “My daughter Sima is in Dhaka and son Sumit is in the USA. I have not yet recovered fully from the accident. I really miss my acting life; I miss my co-artistes and miss the love and admiration from the fans. I do not know whether I shall ever be able to return. I would like to ask everyone to keep me in their thoughts and prayers so that I can recover fully soon.” Born on December 1, 1931 in Manikganj, Masud Ali Khan acted in ‘Rana Pratap Singh’ during Saraswati Puja when he was in grade two. During his higher secondary education, he associated himself with ‘Drama Circle’ in 1956. The first film in which he acted was ‘Nodi O Nari’ directed by Sadek Khan. He last appeared in the film titled ‘Jonakir Alo’ by late noted director Khalid Mahmud Mithu. On stage, he has received immense praise for the play ‘Sajano Bagan’, which he directed.     
Masud Ali Khan informed that Syed Hasan Imam, Dilara Zaman, Sharmili Ahmed regularly check up on his condition.
