Floating boat creates healthcare awareness

A floating health boat, sailed by social marketing company (SMC), is creating awareness among coastal people about healthcare.
The floating health boat with a slogan ‘Nongor Feli Ghate Ghate’ is now anchored at Kawkhali in Pirojpur showing documentaries on healthcare to the people.
Documentaries on tuberculosis bacillus (TB), maternal and child health issues, personal healthcare and adapting to various physical changes of teenagers are being shown from the floating health boat.
 The project titled ‘Natun Din’ has been launched with the financial assistance of USAID since April 4, 2013, said Imam Hossain, team leader of floating health boat.
The project will run until 2021, he said adding the healthcare campaign is concentrated in six coastal districts, including Pirojpur.
