Benapole: A female health worker of a non-government organisation was killed as a covered van hit her on Benapole-Jessore highway in Kalagacchi village of Jhikargaccha upazila in Jessore yesterday morning, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Selina Khatun, 20, a health worker of Nabharan Branch of Brac and wife of Khalilur Rahman, a resident of Chartola village of the upazila. Quoting locals, police said the covered van hit her while she was going to her workstation in the morning, leaving her dead on the spot.
