Bogra: A local Awami League leader who was injured in a clash during the first phase of UP election in Sariaknadi upazila died at a local clinic here early yesterday, reports UNB. Abdul Mazid, 65, president of Kamalpur union unit of Awami League in the upazila and a resident of Rouhadah village, was injured in an attack by his rivals at Rouhadah Govt Primary School centre during the 1st phase UP election on March 22, said Waheduzzaman, OC of Sariakandi Police Station. Later, he was taken to a clinic in the district town where he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of yesterday. With this, a total of four people were killed in election violence in the district. On Sunday a local Juba League activist who suffered injuries during a clash over second phase of union parishad elections in Sonatola upazila died at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
