Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club, who are taking part in the KFC Independence Cup after an eleventh hour decision, got off to a perky start with a 2-0 win over Mohammedan Sporting Club 2-0 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday.
In fact the foreign booters made the difference between two teams while the half strength Sheikh Jamal’s collections are better quality than Mohammedan when Wedson, Emeka Darlington and Landing are far ahead of Mohammdan’s Ismail Bangura, Poume Landry and Yayasy.
However, Enamul opened the score early in the ninth minute and Wedson doubled the margin seven minutes later.
Enamul made an easy finish on a Landing pass when he beat a helpless Mohammedan goalkeeper Nehal on ninth minute to send Jamal into lad (1-0).
Jamal doubled the lead on 16th minute and this time Wedson himself scored the goal at in a solo fashion beating his markers (2-0).
Mohammedan trying to fight evenly and were closer to have a goal when Masuk Meah took a chance after a superb dribbling from top of the box. But it was saved at the cost of corner from the goal-line on 19th minute.
