SYLHET: Social Welfare Minister Syed Mohsin Ali yesterday announced a grant of Taka 9.99 crore to set up a nursing institute here, reports UNB. He made the announcement at an exchange of opinion meeting after visiting Sylhet Diabetic Hospital vertical extension work. The minister said all cooperation would be extended for the development of Sylhet Diabetic Hospital. "I want to work for welfare of the people. The government is also pledge-bound to serve the people," he said. Syed Mohsin Ali urged the doctos and nurses to behave well with the patients. "The doctors and nurses would have to work with the attitude of serving the people," he said. Presided over by Jamil Ahmed Chowdhury, a former Registrar of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, the meeting was also addressed by Sylhet District Awami League General Secretary and former MP Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury, former MP Jebunnesa Haq, Sylhet Osmany Medical College Principal Dr Morshed Ahmed Chowdhury and Sylhet Diabetic Association General Secretary Lokman Ahmed.
