AL leader Mokhlesur passes away

Dr Mokhlesur Rahman, administrator of Barisal Zilla Parishad, social leader and owner of Dr Mokhlesur Rahman Hospital, died of old age complications at Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital yesterday.
He was 84. He left one son and 2 daughters, a lot of relatives and colleagues. He will be laid to rest tomorrow noon at Barisal Muslim Gorosthan (graveyard).
He was acting president of Barisal District Awami Legue from 1987 to 2012. AL government appointed him as the administrator of Barisal Zilla Parishad on December 20, 2011.
UNB adds : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Awami League elderly leader Dr M Mokhlesur Rahman.
In a condolence message, the Prime Minister said Dr Mokhlesur Rahman had worked hard for the development of Barisal until his death." Awami League lost a devoted leader, while the people of Barisal their beloved one due to his death," she said.
