The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court today upheld the High Court verdict allowing bail to BNP leader Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Anny in a graft case, reports BSS.
A four-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha passed the order.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case against Anny on October 10, 2015 on charge of acquiring illegal wealth and concealing information relating to his assets in the statement submitted to the commission.
In the case statement, it was alleged that Anny concealed information of assets equivalent to Taka 13.13 lakh and earned assets of Taka 1.40 crore from beyond known sources of his income.
