7 traffickers held in Cox�s Bazar

Police arrested seven people for human trafficking from Shahparirdip area under Teknaf upazila of the district yesterday, reports BSS. The arrested are Zafar Alam, 52, Badi Alam, 29, Md Farid, 55, Shahidul Islam, 25, Zafar Alam, 27, Nazir Ahmed, 35, and Zahir Ahmed, 60.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf Thana Ataur Rahman Khandokar said police conducted a special drive in the area from this morning to evening and nabbed the human traffickers. Several cases are pending against them with different thanas including Teknaf, the OC added.
