Locals demand re-polling in 4 centers of Rashidpur

Villagers staged demonstration at Rashidpur union in Jamalpur sadar upazila yesterday demanding re-polling in four centres following alleged vote rigging. About 2,000 people gathered at Boirangi Bazaar in Rashidpur union and  demanded re-polling in centres of Tulsipur Government Primary School, Gazari Ata Government Primary School, Pakulla Government Primary School and  Bastatola Government Primary School. They alleged that Awami League musclemen stuffed ballot papers in favour of the party chairman candidate in the four centers after scaring away agents of the independent candidate. They urged the election commission to enquire irregularities.
