BD team to join V20, Spring Meetings of WB, IMF

A six-member Bangladesh delegation, led by State Minister for Finance and Planning MA Mannan, will attend the meeting of V20 (Climate Vulnerable Forum) and Spring Meetings of World Bank Group and International Monetary Fund to be held in Washington DC on April 13-17 , reports UNB.
The other members of the delegation are Bangladesh Ambassador to USA Mohammad Ziauddin, Alternate Executive Director of Bangladesh to World Bank Muhammad Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, Finance Division Senior Secretary Mahbub Ahmed, Economic Relations Division (ERD) Senior Secretary Mohammad Mejbahuddin and Economic Minister, Embassy of Bangladesh to USA Sahabuddin Patwary, an ERD official told UNB.
The Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group bring together central bankers, ministers of finance and development, private sector executives, and academics each year to discuss issues of global concern, including the world economic outlook, poverty eradication, economic development, and aid effectiveness.
Also featured are seminars, regional briefings, press conferences, and many other events focused on the global economy, international development, and the world’s financial system.
