3 held over rape of RMG worker

Three youths and a woman were arrested yesterday for their alleged involvement with a rape incident of a RMG female worker kept her in a house for two days in Konabari area of the city. The arrested were identified as Mohammed Shahid, 30, of Harinachala area of Konabari, Nahi Hossain, 25, of the same area, Suzon alias Babul Mia, 35, of Pabna and Mahmuda Akter Mukta, 38, of Konabari.
Khandaker Rezaul Hasan Reza, officer in charge of Joydebpur police station, said “The victim was taken by some youths  in a house of the area while she was returning home from her workplace on April 1. Later, she was raped by three youths kept her in the house. On a information, police from the Konabari police out post rushed to the spot and rescued the victim and arrested the three youths and house owner Mukta from the spot.
