One held with gold at airport

Customs officials and Armed Police Battalion (APBn) early yesterday arrested a youth with 875 grams of gold worth about Taka 20 lakh at Hazrat Shahjalal (R) International Airport (HSIA) in  the capital, reports BSS.
Director General of Customs Intelligence Dr Mainul Khan confirmed the news saying,"Md. Mokhtar Hossain, 49, was arrested with 875 grams of gold last night at the airport." He added: "A total of 22 pieces of gold weighting about 875 grams were found inside two gas burners hidden in the washing powers."
Mokhtar Hossain, an inhabitant of Munshiganj district landed at air port in the capital by the flight BG 0187 of Biman Bangladesh Airlines from Kuala Lumpur.
