Three Dhaka court yesterday ordered to send former BNP lawmaker Syeda Asifa Ashrafi Papiya to jail after rejecting her bail pleas in nine cases in connection with violence, vandalism and vehicle torching during BNP led blockade demanding to step down of the government. Earlier, the BNP leader surrendered before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court seeking bail in the cases. Of the nine cases, five were filed with Paltan Police Station, one in Lalbagh Police Station and three in Mirpur Police Station, said our court correspondent.
