Rapid Action Battalion arrested a alleged arms dealer along with firearm and ammunition in the capital yesterday. The arrested were Md Masud Rana, 25, an alleged arms trader, hailing from Sirajganj district. Lt Col Md Mohiuddin Ahmed, commanding officer of RAB-2 said, told The The Independent that on information, a team of RAB-2, led by Assistant Police Commissioner Md Yasir Arafat raided capital’s Agargaon area around 3:30pm. Later, the elite force detained Rana and seized a foreign pistol along with three round bullet loaded magazine from his possession. During the primary interrogation, the criminal admitted that he was involved in illegal firearms trading for long times, said the RAB-2 boss. A case was file and he was handed over to the police.
