The 3-day Dhaka motor, bike and auto parts show began at the Bashundhara Convention City in the capital yesterday.
Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader inaugurated the “11th Dhaka Motor Show 2016”, “2nd Dhaka Bike Show 2016” and “Dhaka Auto Parts Show 2016”, the biggest and only international exhibition for the automotive, bike and auto parts sector of Bangladesh.
Obaidul Quader said the exhibition would be meaningless if people who run vehicles do not obey traffic rules and people do not become aware while moving on the streets. He also urged residents of the capital to minimise use of private cars to avoid traffic congestion and the transport owners to replace unfit buses with fit and large buses in Dhaka.
CEMS Global- Conference & Exhibition Management Services Ltd.-USA in association with CEMS Bangladesh organised the event.
The exhibition is comprised of a motor show, bike show and auto parts show. Exhibitors ranging from automobile and motorbike dealers to CNG conversion companies, lubricant, battery and tire companies are showcasing their products in 200 booths.
From around 15 countries exhibitors participated at the expo. The show will be open for trade and public visitors from 10:30 am to 08:30 pm.
