Moon-sighting panel sits today

The National Moon Sighting Committee will sit in a meeting today to ascertain the comme­ncement of holy month of Ramzan, reports UNB. Religious Affairs Minister  Motiur Rahman will preside over the meeting to be held at  7:30pm at the Baitul Mukarram office of Islamic Foundation, said a PID handout yesterday. People have been requested to inform the committee over the following phone and fax numbers if they see the moonof Ramzan. The phone numbers are: 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9556407 and 9558337 while the fax is 9563397.
