Schoolboy killed in Mymensingh

A schoolboy was hacked to death in pre-polls violence in Achintapur union of Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh yesterday night, reports UNB. The deceased was identified as Rafiqul Islam, 10, a Class-IV student of Shahganj Govt Primary School and son of Osman Gani of Nazirpur village. Gouripur OC Aktaruzzaman said Rafiqul went to Shahganj Bazar to join the electioneering of Awami League rebel candidate for chairman post Dulal Fakir. On way back home, supporters of a rival candidate chopped him at Ghaghla around 8pm. Locals rushed him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead at 9pm.
