Suspended Sylhet mayor freed on bail

SYLHET:  Suspended Sylhet City Corporation Mayor Ariful Haque Chowdhury was freed from jail on bail yesterday, reports UNB.
Ariful was released from Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was receiving treatment around 11am, said jailer of Dhaka Central Jail Nesar Alam.
Earlier, the suspended SCC mayor secured bail in two cases filed over the killing of former Finance Minister SAMS Kibria. On March 22, the High Court granted bail to him for 15 days in the case filed for killing while a Habiganj court on Sunday granted bail in the case filed under the Explosive Substances Act over the incident.
