Rajuk�s eviction drives on

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) yesterday in a drive demolished illegal structures from the capital’s Dhanmondi, Uttara and Gulshan areas.
It also reoccupied more parking spaces in some commercial buildings during the drive.
An eviction team led by Rajuk Executive Magistrate Nasir Uddin and authorised officer AJM Shafiul Hannan fined the owner of Sundaram Plaza at Panthapath Road a total of Tk 2 lakh as he did not remove three booths on the ground floor of the building within the given time. Besides, AB Bank, Dutch Bangla Bank and Jamuna Bank, all adjacent to the mentioned booths, were fined Tk 1 lakh, Tk 2 lakh and Tk 1 lakh respectively.
In the same area Sapta Dinga Restaurants in the ground floor in a building was demolished. Lazz Pharma at Kalabagan was fiend Tk 50,000 and Moron Chand Sweets was pulled down.
