�Management information system ensures efficiency �

Speaker of the House Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said in the capital yesterday Management Information System (MIS) under Strengthening Parliamentary Oversight (SPO) will play a special role to make sure efficiency, transparency and accountability in the activities of the parliamentary standing committees, reports BSS.
“MIS will first be introduced in financial oversight committees, which will ensure efficiency, transparency and accountability in the activities of the committees on Public Accounts, Public Undertakings and Estimates,” she said while inaugurating MIS as the chief guest at oath taking room of Jatiya Sangsad (JS) in the capital.
“Three separate websites will be developed for the committees under financial oversight committee and alter separate websites will be developed for the parliamentary standing committees,” she said.
“MIS will be linked with the respective websites and through it notice, press release, committee report, follow up report will be published instantly,” she also said.
Among others, presidents of committees on Public Undertakings, Public Accounts and Estimates, Shawkat Ali, Dr Mohiuddin Khan Alamgir and Abdul Matin Khasru, were present at the meeting with Sangsad Secretary Dr Md Abdur Rab Hawlader presiding.
