DHAKA: Islamic Foundation, Bangladesh (IFB) will observe its 41th founding anniversary in the capital and elsewhere across the country amid holding different programme in a befitting manner today, reports BSS. In observance of the founding anniversary of IFB, founded by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in 1975, various programmes have been chalked out on the day, said a statement of the IFB this evening. The anniversary programmes include: colourful rally, hamd and nath competition, children fair, milad, special doa mahfils, reciting from the Holy Quran, khatib conference and discussion in the capital. The district offices of IFB have also chalked out elaborate programmes including rally, children fair, doa-mhafil and discussion on the day. As part of central programme IFB will hold a discussion programme coinciding with National Khatib Conference and distribution of the Holy Quran among 4,45,770 students of country’s 505 upazilas under the project “’Mosque-based Children and Mass-Education Programme-2015” at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) at about 10:30 am today. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to be present as the chief guest on the occasion while Religious Affairs Minister Principal Motiur Rahman will preside over. Among others, Religious Affairs Secretary Mohammad Abdul Jalil, Director General of IFB Shamim Mohammad Afzal, Convener of Khatib Council Principal Maulana Muhammad Jalaluddin Al-Quaderi will speak on the occasion.
