President Abdul Hamid yesterday said the scope of expanding trade and investment in the region will get a boost once the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Motor Vehicle Agreement is implemented, reports UNB.
The President said this when outgoing Bhutanese Amba-ssador to Bangladesh Pema Choden made a farewell call on him at Bangabhaban.
Abdul Hamid also said Bhutan can use Mongla and Payra ports for increasing its trade. Expressing satisfaction over the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Bhutan, the President hoped that the relations will get strengthened in the days to come.
Pema Choden said Bhutan attaches highest importance to strengthening its ties with Bangladesh, and thanked the President for his cooperation in discharging her assignment in Bangladesh.
