The Bay of Bengal Business Forum put emphasis on enhancing business relations and regional cooperation among the nations in the region and the world, reports BSS.
Initiated by the US Consulate of Chennai, the first ever “Bay of Bengal Business Forum” was organized by the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, at Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands-India recently, said a press release yesterday.
Mayeen Chowdhury, managing director of Khan Bahadur Group and Member of International Business Forum of Bangladesh (IBFB), represented Bangladesh in the forum.
He spoke about the business potentials of Bangladesh which can be developed and taken to a higher level for the benefits of all stakeholders.
“Business with the countries of the Bay of Bengal region would open large opportunities for developing business fraternity and promoting economic development,” he opined.
Mayeen explained the potentials and possibilities of businesses and how these can connect the region with other countries on the globe.
He also highlighted the major areas such as Port, Marine products, Power and energy, infrastructure development and other sectors which can be tapped in the near future.
The Bay of Bengal Business Forum mainly focuses on connecting and building regional ties with other countries in the emerging cross world business.
A significantly informative and useful business forum discussed the brass tacks of business with the Bay Bengal littoral countries, such as Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Malaysia and Bangladesh.
The aim of the forum is to explore business opportunities with the neighboring countries and to connect with each other.
