Admission open house begins at EU
The admission open house for summer 2016 semester of Eastern University (EU) started on the university premises yesterday, says a press release.
Abul Khair Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees, EU inaugurated this Programme.
The admission will continue from March 20 to 22 from 9am to 5pm every day. Students seeking admission in spring semester will enjoy 50per cent discount on admission fee. Attractive waiver will be offered during the event. In this Admission Open House students will get valuable information advice of different career plan from experienced faculty members of EU and career counselor. JU Philosophy dept reunion held
SAVAR: The reunion of Philosophy department of Jahangirnagar University (JU) was held on the campus on Friday amid festivity.
JU Philosophy Alumni Association (JUPAA) arranged the function while JU Vice-chancellor Professor Dr Farzana Islam addressed as the chief guest and Pro-VC Professor Dr Abul Hossain addressed as special guest.
Marking the day, the former and incumbent students of the department brought out a colourful rally from the department premises and paraded through the main streets on the campus. JUPAA will give honorary special award to the founder Chairman of Philosophy department Professor Dr Obayedur Rahman for his outstanding contribution to build up the department. The day-long function also included funny games, recollection of memory, raffle draw, grand lunch and cultural function at Selim Al Deen Muktamancha on the campus. Chairman of Philosophy department Professor Mohammad Tareq Chawdhory, Assistant Professor of the department, also secretary of JUPAA, Farid Ahmad, Convener of the reunion programme Ashish Kumar Mazumder and Sub-Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Shamima Yesmin spoke at the function among others.
