Clash over trifling matter leaves 10 hurt

Jhenaidah: At least 10 people, including two women, were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a trifling matter at Dhopabila village in Sadar upazila on Wednesday, reports UNB. Officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station Hasan Hafizur Rahman said Abdur Rashid’s goat eat up crops in the field of Bakul Hossain at the village in the morning. Over the issue, a brawl took place between them. At one stage, men of the both, equipped with lethal weapons, engaged in a clash in the afternoon, leaving 10 people injured on both sides. Of them, eight were admitted to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital, among whom, one named Amirul Islam was shifted to Faridpur Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated. The rest two were released after primary treatment.
