Mymensingh Gold Cup Football begins today

The greater Mymensingh Gold Cup Football tournament will commence from today at the Mymensingh District Stadium.  
A total of six teams of greater Mymensingh district are taking part in the first edition of the tournament splitting into two groups with Mymensingh, Netrokona and Kishoreganj district teams were drawn in the Brahmaputra Group while Jamuna Group comprised with Tangail, Jamlapur and Sherpur districts.  
The first phase will be held in league basis with all the teams will play the matches in home and away system.
Each team could include four booters from their outside district including two foreign players and rest of the players would have from their own district.  
The matches of the tournament will follow the FIFA rules and it will be held under the guidance of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).
Minister for Religious Affairs Principal Motiur Rahman will inaugurate the tournament as the chief guest.
