Beautiful corners

Making your house inviting is a fun-filled task as you can customise everything to suit your needs and those of you who are into decorating would love what I am about to share. While visiting friends and family I have often noticed that people love to decorate spaces between living room furniture, but often, the corners of the room are left empty or a heavy piece of corner-showcase is stuffed with souvenirs and showpieces.
Tips to modify corners of rooms
*Place a triangular or small round mat.
*You can either put a wicker basket, a wooden tray or a metal one.
*Place an assortment of miniature glass figures or showpieces on the tray or anything that is likely to move around. I once saw a wickerwork tray filled with decorative glass eggs.
*Place a tall flower vase a little at the back and put a collection of different flowers to make the arrangement eye catching.
*Make sure the colours of the items you are putting together do not clash. To make a display attractive, it is very important to keep the harmony of colours in mind. Light pastel shades go very well with wood or brown furniture.
*Try to place taller or bigger items at the back of the display.
*If you are against placing your favourite showpieces on the floor, not a problem. You can place them on a table. The table can be of any shape, it doesnt necessarily have to be a corner table.
Decorating or redecorating your home can also be a very good stress relief exercise. If you are adventurous and artistic, you can display your own creations in these corners as well. An idea for such a display can be a hodgepodge of different sized glass bottles, painted in co-ordinated colours and used as vase for flower display etc. n
